High Commissioner Chitranganee Wagiswara emphasized the significance of tourism for Sri Lanka, highlighting its diverse attractions and inviting attendees to promote Sri Lanka during the upcoming holiday season. Striking videos showcasing Sri Lanka’s beauty, notably the award-winning “Pekoe Trail,” were screened, capturing the operators’ interest in promoting the country to Australian travelers during a subsequent Q&A session. The event concluded with a traditional Sri Lankan dinner for the guests, who received giveaway packs containing tourism brochures and souvenirs from the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. Overall, the evening aimed to bolster Sri Lanka’s image as an enticing destination and foster partnerships with Australian tour operators.
