TIME magazine has listed The Pekoe Trail in Sri Lanka’s Central Highlands among the world’s 100 greatest places to visit in 2025.
This 186-mile trail, once a 19th-century tea transport network, now connects tea plantations, villages, and scenic landscapes from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya.
Launched last March, it offers hikers an intimate look at Sri Lanka’s tea heritage, with luxury stays and a new app enhancing the experience.
