In July 2023, Sri Lanka’s private low-cost airline, FitsAir, was recognized as Asia’s most punctual airline, achieving a perfect 100% on-time arrival record across its international flight network, conducting 142 flights. Among the top 10 punctual airlines in the Asia Pacific region, FitsAir shared the first place with Aero Dili of Timor Leste.
Launched in October 2022, FitsAir has gained popularity for affordable and convenient air travel, operating routes to Chennai, Dubai, and the Maldives. Supported by affiliation with Aberdeen Holdings, a Sri Lankan conglomerate, FitsAir has solidified its role in the country’s aviation sector.
