Our goal is to increase female workforce participation to 50 percent by 2030, currently standing at 45 percent as of March 31, 2022. JKH leads as the first company in Sri Lanka to implement equal paternity and maternity leave of 100 days each. Additionally, an agreement has been made to provide all female employees within the John Keells Group with complimentary sanitary napkins.
Furthermore, the group has introduced an agile working policy, normalizing flexible working hours to support working parents and staff pursuing academic endeavors. A new initiative grants both parents a 100-day leave, acknowledging and valuing their roles in early childcare. This initiative aims to eliminate discrimination against women related to maternity leave benefits.
