The Sri Lanka Embassy in Brussels organized a tourism promotion workshop in Antwerp, Belgium, titled “Discover Sri Lanka: Unveiling the Island’s Beauty in Belgium.” The event, held on September 27, 2023, aimed to introduce Sri Lanka’s beauty to Belgian travel professionals. Over 80 participants, including tour operators, travel agents, bloggers, influencers, journalists, TV professionals, and airline representatives, attended.
The workshop featured highlights such as a video message from Antwerp Province Governor Cathy Berx, who praised Sri Lanka’s tourism efforts. Various speakers discussed Sri Lanka’s diverse landscapes, cultural heritage, wildlife, adventure tourism, affordability, and positive travel experiences. The Sri Lanka Embassy is actively conducting tourism promotion workshops across Belgium to establish Sri Lanka as a must-visit destination for Belgian travelers.
