Kuoni, a renowned travel company, is set to host an exclusive conference in Sri Lanka, marking its first overseas sales managers’ gathering since 2019. This strategic move aims to reinvigorate sales and promote the destination’s allure to a wider audience.
Despite facing economic challenges last year, Sri Lanka has historically been one of Kuoni’s top-performing destinations. With a resurgence of confidence in the country’s tourism sector, the company anticipates a strong rebound in sales for 2023 and 2024, prompting an increased focus on enhancing destination knowledge.
The conference will bring together 39 sales managers, including Kuoni’s own store managers, virtual call center team leaders, partner store managers, and senior managers from product, training, and commercial teams. Delegates will embark on four distinct itineraries, each offering a unique exploration of different parts of Sri Lanka.
From climbing the majestic Sigiriya Rock to traversing Polonnaruwa by bicycle, experiencing the picturesque train journey from Ella to Nuwara Eliya, and embarking on thrilling leopard safaris in Yala National Park, the conference attendees will immerse themselves in the country’s diverse offerings.
The event will culminate with an interactive full-day conference at the idyllic Cinnamon Bentota Beach, where the four groups will converge to exchange insights, foster collaboration, and set the stage for future growth.
Helen Roberts, Kuoni’s sales director, expressed enthusiasm about the conference, stating, “This gathering provides an exceptional opportunity for our team members to deepen their understanding of Sri Lanka and its incredible attractions. We are excited to showcase the country’s natural beauty, cultural treasures, and warm hospitality to our esteemed sales managers, further igniting their passion for promoting Sri Lanka as a must-visit destination.”
As Kuoni’s commitment to Sri Lanka’s growth intensifies, this in-destination conference sets the stage for an exciting future, where travelers can discover the captivating wonders of Sri Lanka with confidence and ease.
